Heavy Weight with David Letele - docuseries

 

Produced by Mario Gaoa for South Pacific Pictures and Heavy Weight Media. The series looks at drugs and alcohol abuse through a Maori Pasifika lens. The show is presented by David Letele and is slated for aire in Q4 of this year.

We Are Still Here – Feature Film

 

This feature film that included stories from writer/directors in New Zealand, Australia and Samoa has almost completed it's worldwide release. It opened the Sydney Film festival and was received at many prestigious festival galas picking up a host of awards including Best Film at Imaginative in Toronto.

 

 

“THE PANTHERS” – Television Drama Series

 

Inspired by The Black Panthers; this drama series, based on true events, looks at a group of young radicals from New Zealand who form their own political party called The Polynesian Panthers.

 

Directing the first two episodes, Miki, joined creators Halaifonua Finau and Tom Hern in realising this exciting evocative television series. The Panthers is the first ever New Zealand television series invited to TIFF. Produced by Tavake in association with Four Knights Film.

Duck Rockers   - Television series - dramedy

 

Co Produced by Mario Gaoa for South Pacific Pictures, a dramedy series following  6 young pacific island teenagers living their best lives through 1980's Auckland city.  From the chaos of the Queen Street riots to the quirky cameos of the original Sione's wedding cast, Duck Rockers will leave you in stitches.
